But the Alcohol Drinks Control Bill 2016, a private member's draft legislation sponsored by Mukono municipality MP Betty Nambooze, has fractured that friendship. Kasibante argues that the bill, if passed, will encourage binge drinking instead of curbing it. In an interview with Baker Batte Lule on Wednesday, the Lubaga North MP said he was hurt by Nambooze's reference to him as "a drunkard who sleeps in bars."
