Patriotic Front Members in Luanshya have taken on Kitwe District vice Information Publicity Secretary Gift Kalumba for siding with Bahati Member of Parliament Harry Kalaba asking him to resign from the party. Responding to Kalumba’s audio, the PF members are disappointed and accused Kalumba of working with Kalaba while he continues to pretend being a member of the Patriotic Front. They alleged that Kalumba has been organising meetings for Harry Kalaba, the former foreign affairs minister who recently quit citing corruption, both on the Copperbelt and Lusaka. “This Gift Kalumba is a disgruntled element; he has never recovered from the shock of not being adopted. Overrating himself killed his chances, if you are frustrated do not bring your problems to us; we are in no compromise gear to see our party fulfil the promises made to the people of Zambia,†one of the PF members remarked. He added “we are aware of your agenda and trust me it’s going nowhere because it’s born out of hatred.” Another question the people Kalumba was speaking on behalf of, because what he was doing was wrong and had no blessings from the Patriotic Front leadership at any level. “You are just a frustrated youth, we know you are a spokesperson for the few PF youths on the Copperbelt who have been eating Kalaba’s money and that they will deliver Copperbelt to him. Very shameful, when Davies Mwila resigned from the PF he remained quiet, so those of you, who eat Kalaba’s money and claiming to be intelligent the party is bigger than an individual, don’t even mislead people. They challenged Kalumba to clear state his allegiance and stop offering unsolicited for advice. “we are aware that you are even suspended from that position in the party that is why you are ever in Lusaka, meeting with Kalaba…if you feel Kalaba is good enough resign from PF than pretending to be with us yet you are not. Kalumba yesterday took on the Patriotic Front for calling on Harry Kalaba to resign having left his ministerial position. Mpundu said the closure of Chisokone Market has exposed high poor sanitation levels that leave trading place inhabitable for trading “The outbreak of cholera in somewhat inverted commas is a blessing in disguise because then it gives us a wake up call to change the approach in addressing the issues. At Chisokone market, we will have to make very tough decisions, you will agree that when we decided to remove vendors from the Central Business District there was an uproar from marketeers on the decision we made, but today we are vindicated. Mpundu said now is the time to act and fight the outbreak of cholera and avoid bringing politics in the matter. He further disclosed that of the three victims of cholera in Kitwe, one has been discharged while the two others could be released any day as they have shown positive indications of recovery. Mpundu further said Chisokone market will remain closed until the exercise of cleaning is completed. Meanwhile, Kitwe Mayor Christopher Kang’ombe said the modernisation of Chisokone Market will require about $ 145 million. “$145 million dollars is needed to build both a two storey ultra modern market and bus station at Chisokone market in Kitwe. MMD National treasurer Chris Banda has expressed shock and disappointment at utterances by PF Kabwe central member of Parliament Hon Tutwa Ngulube who accused the former ruling party of working against government. Hon Ngulube on Monday during Prime TV’s Oxygen of Democracy accused the MMD of being the ruling party’s greatest enemy. Ngulube also said the MMD National Secretary was in Kabwe a few weeks ago mobilising the party and promised to field a candidate against the PF in 2021 General elections. But Banda called the allegation funny and called on Ngulube to direct his frustrations away from the MMD. “I would love to advise my brother Hon Ngulube to direct his frustrations else where, MMD has been a very loyal partner in this alliance, we have no time to start exchanging sentiments with an individual who obviously has his own personal issues with his party,” he said. Banda said Ngulube’s issues were obvious and had nothing to do with the MMD but his failure to get into Cabinet. He said his efforts to bring the MMD into his frustrations is aimed at creating discontent within his party adding that the Kabwe law maker was not privy to any working relationship arrangement between the two parties. “We won’t engage in any exchange of words with Hon Ngulube because as far as we are concerned he was not there when negotiations for this alliance were taking place, so if he isn’t satisfied with the happenings in the alliance he should address his issues with his party leadership and not run to the media daily,” said Banda. Banda further wondered whether Hon Ngulube had any loyalty to his party and its President as the stance he has taken seems to be disruptive. He said the mature way of sorting out challenges in the family should be away from the public as opposed to washing dirty linen in public. “We as MMD have faith in the leadership of President Lungu and that is why we collectively decided to work with him and his Patriotic Front government, not for our personal gain but for the betterment of all Zambians. “We urge Hon Ngulube to exhibit maturity in his politics and not use emotions, we know that he currently has one leg in the PF and another else where but trying to use us as a scape goat will not help,” Banda said.   The post Tutwa Ngulube Upsets MMD; He Is Frustrated For Not Getting Cabinet Post appeared first on Zambia Reports.
