[Monitor] I grew up in Nalufenya, the village I mean, not the detention centre. But my home is quite close to that infamous place all the same. About five or six minutes away. However, I had no idea it was what it is until much later in life. I thought security personnel just loved to stand by there maybe to admire the bridge, and make sure no one steals the water under it.

Controversial Malawian businessman Sheperd Bushiri has dared Copperbelt Minister Bowman Lusambo to take away his mine and face unspecified consequences. Lusambo recently issued a 7 day ultimatum to Bushiri to apologize for ridiculing Religious minister Godfridah Sumaili. But Bushiri, who his followers claim is a prophet, is not going down without a fight. He says Lusambo should take any action on his business. During a live broadcast from his Pretoria Church, Bushiri slammed Lusambo warning closing his mine will not stop him from visiting Zambia. “Close the mine if you want, I will never stop coming to Zambia.” a visibly angry young preacher man said on live TV. “There is nothing that the Zambian government has against or on me”. Last week, Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs Hon. Godfridah Sumaili announced that Government would not allow the so-called -men of God with dubious practices or unknown intentions to come and ply their “prophetic” trade in Zambia. She said that government was concerned that the evangelical, prophetic and Pentecostal movements had been infiltrated by magicians, charlatans and false prophets. “Mathew 24:24 warns us: “For false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, even the elect”. On the Sunday Broadcast, Bushiri appeared more angrier saying Zambian authorities were persecuting men of God that had prophesied about the Country. “anyone who has been used to prophesy is being persecuted in Zambia. And they want to use government institutions”. The Malawian now banned in several African countries because of his inimical practice, repeated his accusations against fellow men of God claiming they were using apparatus of government to bar him from Zambia “Why are you using government, it’s being influenced by Bishops.” Lusambo urged Bushiri to apologize to Sumaili and the Bishops that he had disparaged on his television broadcast channel. But the unrepentant Bushiri called on Lusambo to seek forgiveness from God for speaking against an “annointed Prophet”. “Bowman Lusambo should ask for forgiveness from God and not from Bushiri” Bushiri also warned that his followers would vote against the government of President Edgar Lungu “But you must know that it’s the same Christians who(follow us) who will go to vote for you to be elected.” Bushiri says he submits to Prophet Uebert Angel of Spirit Embassy who was denied entry into Zambia a few weeks ago.
