[The Herald] The trial of African Medical Investments (AMI) Hospital, which is accused of illegally dumping hazardous biological waste at an open space near Beta Bricks in Mt Hampden, Harare, opened yesterday. The court heard that children in that area collected the garbage, especially blood tubes which they painted their lips and nails with. In its defence, the hospital, which is represented by Amos Muradzi said it was conned by a former employee, who was responsible for waste management.

[The Herald] Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Christopher Mushohwe yesterday refuted allegations that the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation only covers Zanu-PF programmes, saying other political parties were welcome to seek coverage from the national broadcaster. Dr Mushohwe was responding to a question from Harare West legislator Ms Jessie Majome in the National Assembly on why ZBC content seemed to favour the ruling party's programmes, asking if it was its editorial policy.
