[SAPS] Yesterday (Friday, 2016-07-22) at about 22:50 Mitchells Plain Crime Prevention Unit members received a complaint of a firearm being kept at a premises in Lebombo street,Tafelsig.Upon searching the premises members found a 303 hunting rifle hidden under a mattress.The rifle was wrapped in cellotape. A 44 year old was arrested on a charge of possession of unlicensed firearm. The suspect is due to appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrates Court on Monday on the said charges.
