For the country to attain a middle income status, each citizen should earn at least Shs290,000 per month. Results show a slowdown in economic growth in the past three years from 5.2 per cent in 2014, 5.0 per cent in 2015 and 4.7 per cent in 2016. This year is likely to witness a further decline.
