Former Football Association of Zambia president, Kalusha Bwalya, has been honoured by the provincial government of Gauteng province of South Africa for his outstanding contribution to football in Zambia and the African Continent. Gauteng Province Premier, David Makhura, awarded Kalusha together with 22 other former African footballers and football administrators at the legends dinner awards held at the Italian club in Bedfordview, Johannesburg, South Africa. Mr. Makhura said Kalusha was honoured for being the only Southern African footballer to have won the coveted African Footballer of the year in 1988. He noted that Kalusha was also known for his fighting spirit of helping to put together a brand new Zambian National team following the 1993 Gabon air crash that claimed the lives of the entire national team. Mr. Makhura added that Kalusha deserved the Premier’s award of Social Cohesion Games as it was during his tenure as President of Football Association of Zambia that he led his team to become African Champions in 2012. He said Kalusha together with the other 22 football legends from Cameroun and South Africa contributed to national building and the liberation of that South Africa through the medium of sport. And Zambia’s High Commission to South Africa, Emmanuel Mwamba said his country was proud of Kalusha Bwalya and his immense achievements as a soccer player and administrator. He said Kalusha BWALYA continued to bring pride to Zambia even in his retirement. And Kalusha Bwalya thanked the Gauteng Province government for the recognition of his contribution to the development of football in Zambia and African continent. He said it was his privilege to have been with the Zambia national team from when he was young till his retirement and hoped that more Zambians would be supported in their football career. “I have been privileged to have been with the Zambia National Team from when I was a teenager (1982-2000). Blood, sweat and tears, I hope could represent people who are not here today. The memories are with me. If you think about it this month (April) marks 25 years since our gallant team left us off the shores of Gabon, it makes it more significant to all of us as Zambiansâ€, he said. This is according to a statement issued to The Speech Analyst by Mrs Naomi Nyawali, First Secretary Press and Public Relations at the Zambia’s High Commission, South Africa. Socialist Party member Mwala Kalaluka says neither Dr Fred M’membe nor Dr. Cosmas Musumali own the Socialist Party. Kalaluka says any discourse directed at the Socialist Party should not be narrowed on the two individuals because the organisation was an assembly of people with a common cause to redeem Zambia. BELOW IS COMRADE MWALA KALALUKA’S SOCIALIST WRITE UP Comrade Mwala Kalaluka writes: The kind of politics that has played out in this country over the last few years, which is so steeped in self-preservation, deception, lies, incompetence and a propensity for individualistic tendencies tilted towards grand corruption, is what has triggered feelings of great hope among our working-class and toiling majority that the Socialist Party, just recently launched, will be the most befitting alternative against this political mediocrity and chicanery. We, the visible revolutionary cadres, have been inundated with a plethora of reactions, even from people that had taken a berth from ‘politics’ in Zambia, following the March 31 launch of the Socialist Party, a legally and morally distinct entity from any other political formation, and the suggestion made by our interim general secretary Dr Cosmas Musumali, that his deputy, Dr Fred M’membe will be the revolutionary party’s presidential candidate in the 2021 general elections. We appreciate both the overwhelming positive feedback and even the miniscule of negative feedback. As revolutionaries that we are, and this caliber was expressed in the manner in which we ultimately launched, we shall always strive for quality rather than quantity. We’ll have to determine where to strike the political anvil for it to bend towards the people’s revolutionary trajectory. But why is the Socialist Party different from the reactionary political formations that are having issues with this not-so-new revolutionary approach to enhancing the people’s mass governance? Our party is not owned by an individual. It is owned by the people that subscribe to revolutionary ethics of humility, honesty, equity and solidarity. Dr Fred M’membe or Dr Cosmas Musumali don’t own the Socialist Party. Far from it. Not even in a million years will an individual own a collective formation like the Socialist Party. In that regard, in responding to the negligible negative reactions from those who by virtue of the sordid nature of the politics that has hitherto been practised, have unilaterally declared the Socialist Party enemy number one, we should tell them, comrades, that we owe our accountability to that class of Christ, for whom we shall fight for and with in a spirit of comradely solidarity. Forward ever, backwards never. The post M’membe Does Not Own Socialist Party, says Comrade Kalaluka appeared first on Zambia Reports.

MAX CHONGU I looked at the behaviour of my fellow PF cadre Max differently. I also very much appreciate the fact that our media director Sunday Chanda released a statement distancing the party from Max’s irrational act. That was obvious. Those more learned than me – bena Isaac M Mwanza – will agree with me that communication comes in different ways. Max may not have acted rationally because he now stripped the entire SDA women group, but he did exactly what the old lady did – disrespect the other. Max has sent the message back to the SDA reminding them of not hiding stupid vices in the name of the Lord. He has indirectly told the SDA to take off the respective veil and join everyone insulting our great leader of this great nation so we respond to them without fear or favour. Zambia, being a christian nation has a lot of evil doers hiding in the name of the church. The famous Iris Kaingu is a staunch christian who does not hide in the respective holy veil to commit her sinful acts unlike Shepherd Bushiri. MMD Sect-President Dr Nevers Mumba is another example of a devouted christian not hiding in miracles and has openly taken the bull by its horn. So why this whole fuss about the dorcas mother. Assuming the old lady was not in SDA uniform, the issue could have died naturally and we could have gone along with our normal lives were we hear people, apart from the great Lusambo, insult our president and we don’t give a dice. But because the old dorcas mother was in uniform and said what most of you hypoctrites say in your private conversations, you have risen against her and Max who has been bold enough to respond to the SDA with a loud and clear message. What Max has said is simple and straight forward. He is simply telling the SDA to “Respect our legitimately elected Head of State as a church so that we, his supporters and employers respect their institution in return”. And why did the church respond on the sabbath? It is a two way thing. If you are aggrieved as a church, you can register your grievance through the church mother body or the ministry of religious affairs. But, if you go public as a church through the action of an individual, then the reciprocating response will definitely come from an irate cadre like Max. I was actually planning worse as a response to the dorcas mother had i not logged-on to meet his unholy condemnations. I can tell you for free that within your church there are others who are happy with Max’s response. To cut the story short, Max acted as an individual and so did the dorcas mother, but they both delivered the message loud and clear. They can both be reprimanded and forgiven, after all vengeance is for the Lord. To Max, next time you put up such a stupid act, at least ensure the attire fits you. Uka bilisheko akakulu.
