[SAPS] An integrated team comprising of the Ladysmith Tactical Response Team, K9 Unit, Crime Intelligence and Van Reenen SAPS followed up on information about a suspect who boarded a taxi to Gauteng after allegedly being involved in the murder of the Umzimkhulu Municipal speaker. The taxi was stopped at Van Reenen and the suspect was found in possession of a revolver. The 37-year-old suspect will be appearing in the Ladysmith Magistrates Court today for possession of an unlicensed firearm.
