The first ever Four Nation Invitational Tournament kicks off the afternoon with some top of the bill clashes with South Africa’s Bafana Bafana taking on Angola’s Palancas Negras at 15:00 hours at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola. Host nation Zambia will take to the field at 18:00 hours against the warriors of Zimbabwe. All sides are fielding their strongest sides with the tournament falling within the FIFA international calendar. Chipolopolo loyalists will have a chance to watch coach Wedson Nyirenda’s star studded cast featuring some of the hottest Zambians talents. Nyirenda has a blend of youth and experience in his squad with Zambia expected to fight to enhance its credentials. In goal Nyirenda is expected to start with Toaster Nsabata in goal while skipper Ziyo Tembo is expected to marshal the backline alongside Adrian Chama while red hot Zesco United defender Bournwell Silengo could get a run in at left back. Red bull Salzburg midfielder Enock Mwepu will be part of the promising attack launchpad linking up with the wing wizardly Augustine Mulenga and Ernest Mbewe to feed a familiar striking partnership of Brian Mwila and on-fire Orlando Pirates star Justin Shonga. It will not however be a walk in the park as Zimbabwe have always been a troublesome opponent for Zambia. Tickets are on sale via computicket while ZNBC has committed to beaming the tournament live. Winners of today’s matches will play each other in the final on Saturday with losers facing each other in a double header event. Roan Member of Parliament has hit back at his tormentor in chief Bowman Lusambo urging President Edgar Lungu to fire him after he was suspended for one month from parliament. Lusambo remained unapologetic for having slapped Kambwili within the precincts of parliament and also hurled unpalatables at his counterpart which led to the latter drawing the Speaker of the National Assembly’s indulgence. Below is Kambwili’s take on the suspension: Ladies and gentlemen this is Bowman Lusambo, unapologetic, unfazed and unbothered. I am glad I have been vindicated and the pathological liar that saw it fit to turn the grounds of parliament into a boxing ring has been put to shame. President Lungu posterity and the morality you spoke highly about in parliament last week must drive you to fire this man, he is becoming more and more of an embarrassment as time goes on, it is frightening to know that this is the man who welcomes all foreign heads of states and various diplomatic dignitaries. Zambia and Kabushi deserve far much better and I hope the police can now step in and arrest this man for assault, something he denied to the whole nation with impunity. I am not surprised that the MMD die hard is unapologetic nor remorseful because that’s his nature. Honestly what do the young people of this country have to look up to in a man that can lie through his teeth irrespective of his high position in society. What a shame, what a shame indeed. In a week where President Lungu has been given enough evidence of Bowman’s gross indiscipline that continues to have a negative impact on the already bleak legacy of President Lungu. The whole country strongly believes that the president will now surely terminate his services to at least save himself from this embarrassment. Zambia is watching.
