National Restoration Party leader Elias Chipimo says that he is confident the Constitutional Court will guide on the eligibility of President Edgar Lungu for the 2021 elections. Chipimo whose view is that President Lungu does not qualify to contest the elections in 2021 said that despite some people having some misgivings about the Constitutional Court it can still render a credible outcome. He said that there was need to put the matter to bed before the country got embroiled in a destructive debate. President Lungu has ignited a debate about his eligibility after having announced his desire to re-contest elections in 2021. The Head of State said that those who disagree with his position can seek the interpretation of the constitution over the matter.
