The shot at the Constitutional Court bench by Green Party leader Peter Sinkamba has gotten the attention of the Judicial Complaints Authority that hear his complaint against the five judges that threw out the UPND petition. Sinkamba filed a complaint on grounds of incompetence and gross misconduct following the manner the petition was thrown out over a contest on the interpretation of the 14 days period. The complaint was against Constitutional Court Judges Hilda Chibomba, Mungeni Mulenga, Anne Sitali, Margret Munalula and Palan Mulonda and will be heard on February 10, 2017 at Twangale Park in Lilayi. The matter will be heard in an open court. Sinkamba alleged that the ConCourt bench did misconduct itself and failed to address the matter conclusively. Mazhandu Family Bus is not going down without a fight after having appealed the grounding of their buses by the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA). The transport service firm had its licence suspended on Wednesday by RTSA pending investigation with the deadline lapsing today. An accident involving one of their buses that killed 10 people caused a public uproar given it as the 10th time in 12 months that a Mazhandu bus had been involved in an accident. However, Mazhandu Family Bus lawyer Tutwa Ngulube said that the firm had appealed the ban to the minister on grounds that RTSA was still investigating the matter. Ngulube said that he had since filed an appeal with the Minister of Transport Brian Mushimba and Communication to have the ban frozen until the investigations have been concluded. Ngulube said that the firm should be allowed to operate until the investigations have been concluded. Preliminary investigations by RTSA laid the blame on over speeding by the driver but a full report will be compiled the authority. The post Mazhandu Appeals Ban appeared first on Zambia Reports.
