On Sunday, 24 December 2017 at 15:15, police followed up information with regards to the whereabouts of wanted suspects for Glebelands Hostel murder cases. The members traced the man and he was searched. He was found in possession of an unlicensed 9mm pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition.
