In February and March 2015, the Ministry paid a total amount of K132,767 as subsistence allowances to various officers for attending two workshops to review job descriptions and training needs assessments purportedly at Ndozo lodge in Chilanga district. No such workshops were held and the Auditor General has recommended that the money be recovered from the officers. On 9th January 2015, a total amount of K290,831 was paid to M-FILMS to render awareness services on anti gender based violence. The company had no contract with the Ministry to render the said services and it can’t be established how the payment was made without any supporting documentation. Soccer enthusiast Brian Mulenga has caustioned FAZ against using Boyd Mkandawire in next year’s Africa Youth Championship as he was potentially overage. Mulenga says using Mkandawire at the continental Under-20 tournament will expose Zambia, the hosts, to a possible ban as the player had two official birth dates. BELOW IS BRIAN MULENGA’S WRITE UP DONT USE BOYD MKANDAWIRE FOR U-20 I have two birthdays on record for Boyd Mkandawire. One makes him 19 and the other 22. He was either born on Apr 11, 1997 or February 17, 1994. The February 17, 1994 birthdate was used in the COSAFA Cup against Rwanda the April 17,1997 is the one in use currently. To avoid scandals I would suggest the NAPSA Stars full back perhaps sits this one out. We have Zambians who deliver dossiers to opposing teams and they will do what they did last time, help embarass the nation as age cheats. Better safe than sorry. http://www.goal.com/…/zambia/116811/boyd-mkandawire/national http://www.eurosport.com/…/boyd-mkandawire_prs…/person.shtml The post Potential Scandal: Boyd Mkandawire Is Overage appeared first on Zambia Reports.
