Political social media activist Proud Aushi Musamba occasionally shares her thoughts on a range of issues. Yesterday, like in some cases in the past, she touched on the issue of sex. The UK-based former Patriotic Front supporter-turned UPND sympathiser asks, initiating sex is only a man’s prerogative not a woman? BELOW ARE MUSAMBA’S THOUGHTS LETS GET REAL, CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH MUSAMBA C) Initiating sex is only a man’s prerogative not a woman’s? Most women still expect men to take charge in the bedroom. Even research has consistently shown that men initiate sex more frequently than women. Blame it on our social inhibitions or pre-conceived conventional notions, an average woman still prefers being the follower in bed, as the irony remains that men enjoy being dominated in bed. If a woman taking control in bed is a great turn-on for men, then why is it so difficult for women to make the first move? Why does she find it tough to lead between the sheets and expects only the man to take the initiative? Is initiating sex just a man’s prerogative? Can’t a woman take the lead? Amidst the strain of losing his Ministerial position dismissed Information Minister Chishimba Kambwili may have had something to smile about after his election as Roan Member of Parliament was upheld. The Ndola High Court dismissed the petition by losing UPND candidate Andrew Kayekesi for lack of merit. Kayekesi had asked the court to nullify Kambwili’s seat on account of electoral malpractices and alleged that the continued stay in office of Kambwili had disadvantaged other candidates. Kambwili won the election by a whopping 11, 397 while Kayekesi was in second with 5, 099. The Roan lawmaker was on Tuesday fired from his cabinet portfolio by President Edgar Lungu.
