Over 50 students at the Mulungushi University have been suspended in the aftermath of recent riots at the institution disqualifying them from writing examinations. The 50 students were identified as having played a part in protests over increased examination fees. Currently students are sitting for their examinations but those that have been suspended have been barred from sitting for examinations. The victims of suspensions have decried the manner the suspensions were done alleging that no thorough investigations were conducted before the action was executed.
