Serial political joker Chilufya Tayali could not even file for Lusaka Mayor Elections after he turned up late at the nomination centre. Tayali turned his arsenals on the electoral officers as he pleaded his vain case. The Economic and Equity Foundation president was left looking helpless as he caused a circus at Nakatindi Hall. Returning Officer Alex Mwansa duly turned away Tayali whose only imaginable political credentials reside on facebook. Meanwhile nine candidates successfully filed their nominations for the July 26 mayoral elections. The list of successful candidates comprise Miles Sampa (PF), Kangwa Chileshe (UPND), Saboi Imboela (NDC), Reverend Alfred Banda (UNIP), Mundia Mukubesa (PAC), Denis Bwalya (NAREP), Leslie Chikuse (Republican Progressive Party), Saviour Chishimba  (UPP) and Madalitso Musukwa (UPPZ). Lusaka will elect a new mayor on July 26 with a largely youthful pool to select from. The post Nine File for Lusaka Mayor…as Tayali Fails to File appeared first on Zambia Reports.
